Australasian Agricultural Services Pty Ltd (AAS as it's known in the industry), is an equipment and service provider to the agriculture industry.
Specialising in the poultry industry, we work with farmers across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands to create and expand successful enterprises.
We are based in Redland Bay, 40km from Brisbane, Australia.
Our History
1960Doug Mathews and his wife Audrey, daughter Robyn and son Peter move to Wallsend, NSW. Together they set up a poultry farm and the family business begins. |
1964The farm expands into an operation that includes breeders, meat, processing and a hatchery. Mathews Chicken Farm delivers processed chickens to cafes and restaurants around the area. |
1966Peter Mathews wins a State Achievement award from Rural Youth for a chicken growing project. Starting with 24 day old chicks, Peter grew his flock to 2000 plus layers. |
1970Peter starts working at Inghams as a cadet. |
1972Peter marries Judith Hiscox, and moves to QLD to run Technical Services for Inghams QLD. |
1976Peter becomes QLD Farming Manager for Inghams. |
1979Inghams purchase PTL, Peter continues as Farming Manager but is also involved in Pig Operations. |
2000After 25 years with Inghams, Peter moves into the equipment supply side of operations and opens his business. The name Australasian Agricultural Services Pty Ltd is chosen with the vision of servicing all areas of the agriculture industry throughout Australasia. His wife Judith and their two sons Luke and Ben start working out of a small warehouse in Capalaba, QLD. |
2001- 2014Australasian Agricultural Services Pty Ltd remains a proudly family owned and operated Australian business. We've helped farmers across Australia set up, expand, convert, upgrade and build new farms across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Our recent partnership with Potters Poultry sets us apart as a leader of free-range poultry farm equipment supply. |
2015 and BeyondAAS expand their range of agricultural equipment into the backyard - now supplying customers with flocks from 2 to 200,000. The AAS online shop opens giving the public access to our warehouse stock and making ordering easier for farmers across Australia. |
